Welcome to the Lubbock APA! 

Each APA Pool League team consists of five to eight amateur players who compete seasonally or year-round in weekly league play. The APA’s copyrighted handicap system, The Equalizer®, gives amateur players the opportunity to compete equally with players of different skill levels. By participating in weekly league play, members can qualify to compete in three Championships that award over $1.5 million in guaranteed cash and prizes every year.

Beginners and novice players make up a large portion of our league, and you do not need any prior experience to join. Now is the perfect time to gather a few friends or family members to form a new team, or you can join an existing team at the location of your choice. We will work with your team to train on APA rules and scorekeeping.

Play 8-Ball on Sunday and/or Tuesday, or 9-Ball on Thursday. It’s more than just pool in Lubbock — it's family. Division Representatives are available each night to answer questions, and teams strive to finish their matches within four hours. Many of our host locations are non-smoking, and we strive for a friendly, enjoyable environment for all players.
